At the beginning of 2023, Joy met individually with Brittany & Vanessa to share a little idea with a big passion. The 3 of them already had hearts for ministry and growing businesses designed to equip and encourage leaders who serve children & their families.
Joy’s idea involved partnering in the creation of a new event. As their brainstorming and dreaming happened, the collaboration began. The KidMin Leadership Gathering (KLG) concept started to take shape and the first event was calendared for April 2023.
That first KLG happened in Jefferson, GA in a small community center and was an amazing experience for everyone involved. The feedback was tremendous and the general consensus was that it was a success on many levels. Joy, Brittany & Vanessa celebrated, critiqued and decided to duplicate the one-day event in a different location later in the year.
The 2nd KLG event took place in Columbia, SC in September 2023 accompanied by a new logo, website information, and plans to branch out further as the Lord guided.
And He did guide.
So here we are. Several years and 9+ events later, the KidMin Leadership Gathering is reaching, equipping, and encouraging hundreds of ministry leaders across the southeast. By design, these one-day events are small-ish in number of attendees but big-ish in laughter, fun, food, freebies, training and connection.
Each year has a new theme, new session topics, and a new menu, making it extremely valuable to attend multiple times. The goal is 4 locations per year, so find the one closest to you and we’ll see you soon!
